On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Barnstable Harbor, I would like to thank you all for registering for and coming to our Sunset Cruise.  I trust everyone had an enjoyable evening catching up with old friends and hopefully making some new ones.  Mother Nature certainly did her part in providing us with spectacular weather again this year.

I hope some of you got a chance to meet Owen Nichols from the Center for Coastal Studies and learn firsthand the role research will play in helping us to monitor and maintain the health and vitality of our treasured harbor. Your attendance on Friday was a critical element in the fundraising campaign to pay for the Finfish/Shellfish Survey that is currently underway but we still have a ways to go.

We ask you to keep this in mind both as you run into folks who might like to support our efforts and as you consider your end-of-the-year giving. We are currently running a matching challenge meaning every donation brings twice the bang for the buck!
